magazines and things

Well, it's been a while. I hadn't really planned for a few weeks to go by without writing any bloggers. Especially since a lot of super exciting things have been going on.

Notably, I've been finger painting. That's what I do in school. I finger paint. On Monday we are playing outdoor games. I also have to read and stuff too. Occasionally. But please don't let that detract from the feelings of jealously that surged through your body at the thought of me finger painting in school.

And in all of that finger painting madness, something super cool happened: I had some work appear in some local magazines. I know, right? I was very happy for me too. If you happen to run in to me on the street in the near-future, a high five would be appreciated.

I believe I mentioned both of these photo shoots in blogs past, but they hadn't been published at the time. Remember how I made a star garland for the amazing Ana Alic and Off The Map magazine? Well, Off The Map revamped their online magazine and the relaunch was a few weeks ago. It's kind of the most beautiful online magazine I've ever seen:

WOWZERS!

And, and, and, look!

You can click on that to go to the site and read the article. Which I encourage. Because Ana is super amazing and Sophie wrote a brilliant piece about her.

Look at those star garlands in action! So adorable. I have the rest of the pictures that appear in the magazine on my website as well.

And then remember how forever ago in June I did that shoot with my makeup artist friend, Jessica Jean Myers, and my model friend, Vienna? It was full of crimped awesomeness. Yeah! That's the one. Well, that story was picked up by a new and amazing Toronto-based magazine called Veux. They have a digital copy on the website and yon can have print copies made too. FANCY.

And the rest of the images from that shoot are on my website as well. Yes, it was a productive yesterday here at Casa de la Siân. But not productive enough, as I clearly need to spend more time thinking up a name for my home.
